Mette Fruergaard-Jensen
Born 1948 in Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark.
Trained at the Art and Crafts school in Copenhagen as a potter
(now called the Danish design School) 1966-1969
1 year at the Art Academy in Wroclaw, Poland 1976-1977
2 years in Tanzania teaching pottery at a crafts school
for young people 1984-1986
Training in wood and metal 1995-1996
Having had my own pottery workshop for 25 years, I changed my materials, moved to Scotland in 2000 and began to make boxes in Wood and Metal.
I worked as a Project Coordinator at the Danish Cultural Institute in Edinburgh until august 2012.

‘Gifted’ at the Royal National Museum, Edinburgh, December 2007
