These brooches are all made in copper. I love making samples of colour, texture and surface. Especially copper is a metal of changes, depending on the treatment you give it, it can be polished or treated with acid, enamel can be applied, and most important it is very sensitive to heat.
The brooches are made layer upon layer, heating up between each layer. The enamel will then change colour and so will the copper itself. In the three first brooches here, you can see the colours are different in the fish, it is due to different temperatures.
The brooches are all 6 cm x 5 cm.
